Treatment Process

It all starts with your own, unique treatment plan

Patient ConsultationTaking that first step to deciding if Invisalign is right for you is a big one and we want to make it as easy as possible, which is why we are pleased to offer you a FREE Invisalign Consultation.

During this 30-minute appointment we will take a look at your teeth and discuss what you would like to change about them. We use the latest virtual reality software to provide you with a real-time before and after profile picture to show you how different you could look with the perfect smile.

You will leave the appointment with a detailed treatment plan that also contains details of the various payment plans that are available to you to help you decide if the treatment is right for you.

This is a no obligation consultation and you will not be pressured into taking up the treatment at any time.

What happens next?

When you are ready to take your treatment to the next level we make an impressions appointment for you at the surgery. Don’t worry, you don’t require any injections or other type of dental treatment, we simple use a dental mold to take impressions of your teeth and send these off to Invisalign to create a 3D model of how your teeth will move over the course of the treatment.

It takes between 7 and 14 days for the 3D video to come back to us and we will then invite you back to the surgery to take a look at how your teeth will move at the various stages of your treatment.

Starting your treatment

Once you have received your first set of aligners you will need to get used to wearing them. They are not painful, but like anything new it may take a few days.

As you wear them the aligners will gently apply pressure to your teeth that will cause them to move very slowly over the course of a few weeks, at which point you will change them for new set.

Ongoing Treatment

We will make an appointment for you to visit us at the practice every 6 weeks and each time you take away your next three sets of aligners.

This also give you the chance to ask any questions you might have and us the chance to make sure we are happy with the progress.

How long does it take?

Each treatment plan is different for each patient but treatment typically takes between 9 and 18 months.
